Sudhir babu was born to Sri Posani Nageswara Rao and Smt. Posani Rani and was brought up in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He was born after his sister Karuna. Sudhir Babu did his schooling in Siddartha Public School, Vijayawada and got graduated from Maharishi Institute of management Hyderabad.

Later he generated interest in badminton and took it professionally. With a lot of playing he showed his timbre which got him many accolades.

Starting with the National School Games runner up and also was a Junior Badminton World Cup probable. He became determined to work a lot harder and eventually achieved the ranking as Andhra Pradesh No.1 player and also Karnataka No.1. Sudheer also played alongside with Pullela Gopichand as a doubles partner.

Then Sudhir Babu got married to the youngest daughter of Superstar Krishna Priyadarshini. He is now blessed with two children named Charith Maanas and Darshan.

With his management skills in mind has started a garment business which fared well.

One fine day he expressed his interest to Krishna Garu about his entry into the Tollywood film industry. Krishna garu encouraged him to give a try which motivated Sudhir Babu to take up acting.

Sudhir Babu acted in his first film “Yem Maya chesave” under the banner of Indira Productions with is run by Manjula
